SO CLEARLY I have a focusing issue... I cannot seem to stay on my online classes for more than one hour at a time. My mind wanders... I make up things for myself to do. I basically find any excuse for productivity so that I can avoid doing these online classes. THIS is not a high point in my life. The best and worst part about this situation is that I am the person with absolute control over how soon I will finish these classes. I am my own worst enemy.
Here are some things I have been "productively filling my time with":
1. Scheduling out my day minute by minute... and then immediately throwing that schedule away by...
2. Starting AND finishing a Mary Higgins Clark book
3. Calling my family (sorry mom and Kati haha)
4. Thinking about how horrible I am at not doing my online classes when I am so close to being done. NOTHING is more productive than a self appointed guilt trip.
5. Laundry
6. Eating
7. TV (there are some very educational shows out there)
8. and lastly... blogging
So here I am. Blogging away. Waiting for my oatmeal chocolate chip cookies to come out of the oven. Not writing my research paper. Wo is me.
Despite the negative vibe of this post, I will give a spoiler alert (a very positive one-yay!). This young procrastinating lady WILL finish these online classes by no later than March and WILL be graduating in April.
I don't know where that determination came from. But I hope I decide to start listening to it because I am so near the end :) and so ready to be finished. So I will get to work and do nothing fun until I finished. I am going on a mad dash to the finish line. After I finish this post of course.
Amanda, you are such a doll! Love your posts, even though they are class-avoiders. You can do it! You will finish and we'll all celebrate, you know, party hardy! Love you.
