Successes and not so successes

Success #1: The Apple Pancake. DELICIOUS. and surprisingly easy

Not so successful #1: Creme of Broccoli Cheese Soup. Yuck.
Remember a few posts ago when I went on and on about how excited I was to make this soup? Well I don't know why it did not occur to me before.. but I do not like broccoli. Why on EARTH would I like this broccoli soup??? Turns out I did not.

However, I will say Tommy liked it. The Pioneer Woman--it was a great recipe, I just did not have the taste buds to appreciate the meal as it should have.

Success #2: Though I did not like the soup, I did successfully chop the onions without tearing up. I wore goggles.

Success #3: Strawberry Creme Cheese French Toast
I surprised Tommy with this breakfast two Saturdays ago.

Why is breakfast the best and most tasty meal of the day? Most likely because it rests on the border between breakfast and dessert.

  4. Yummy! Do you want to come over and cook for me? LOL Especially those french toast! Also - I heard a secret that if you know you are going to cook something with onions in it... put the onion in the freezer for awhile before and your eyes won't water. I haven't actually done it, but it looks like the goggles work so I might try that next time! Love it!

  6. The goggles remind me of when I had a sleepover at the cabin when I was a teenager. We made hashbrowns with onions and bacon and wore ski goggles while we cut the onions. They were much bigger, we thought we were so clever. You are a funny girl mookie, and I love the way you write. it always makes me laugh.
